So I recently noticed (after forgetting over a year ago) that Colossal_Elk's signature could be taken as a challenge. What I'd like to know is, has anyone ever actually tried to conquer all of Nirn and, if so, how far did they get? I wouldn't be surprised if people ever managed to conquer all of Tamriel, Atmora, and the islands, but has anyone ever tried to push beyond that?

I can't even be bothered to take over Tamriel, let alone Nirn. Even in Vanilla I can't stand being a monolithic blob, so I know I will never, ever take over the entire world in EK.

One of the reasons I don't make the attempt is because keeping de jure Cyrodiil neat and tidy is an absolute pain, let alone conquering the other Provinces before they start drifting into the titular kingdoms.

I tend to leave it on because I don't think the provinces themselves will become de jure parts of the Empire of Tamriel without it unless you happen to control them before you form it if that's disabled.

I have to admit, I've never done it myself. Usually I get deep into a playthrough and I realize "Oh hey, there's bugs I need to fix and new things to add" and I put the playthrough off to the side. I add the things, go back to it, and forget where I was. Or I added something that broke the save so I have to junk the whole thing and start over from scratch.

How far have you managed to get before? Right now I've decided to just use the console to cheat in a Merchant Republic in Winterhold with the goal of just relaxing in a spot my OCD about de jure territory can't kick in while helping the AI conquer the rest. I may try an invasion of Atmora at some point just to say I did something, or I might start pushing into the east if I feel like I have the guts for it.

I think the closest I got was a game where I started in Roscrea, took Atmora, converted to Dragon Cult, and race-shifted my dynasty to Dunmer, got some Dragon event troops and took most of Tamriel. Then my Atmoran-cultured Dunmer warrior-Empress died and I realized that everything that followed would pale in comparison. Also had some bugs to fix so I decided to end it on a high note.

I conquered all of Tamriel, starting as the cousins of the Imperial line of Reman Cyrodiil in the colovian highlands, then Hjalti came, and murder deathed me and took my 350 year old Dunmer/Heartlander Empress, who was so beloved I had 0 nobility revolting, and only the occasional peasant revolt... My poor, poor Potema, everyone loved you... then that awful nord came along and screwed you over, even after you gave him Valenwood to rule... Poor Potema of Cyrodiil, first Empress of all Tamriel.

I just use the mages guild to become a legendary mage and get 30 learning when I want to become immortal. Current playthrough kinda only have 3 female dynasty members left after he khenian flu went through, so neither me nor serena will be having more kids so struggling to ensure matrilineal marriages and try and expand my dynasty back out a bit since these women are in other courts.

That said, wouldn't mind if there was more internal politics in empire level titles to keep things interesting, or an event when you conquer nirn where you become a new deadra prince, form your own cult, and have every major deadra suddenly invade nirn and try to steal kingdom tier titles from you with event troops ala sunset invasion as an endgame challenge :p

modded or just the EK mod on it's own?
Just the EK mod on its own
I've made some small changes, but nothing that ended up mattering (for example reducing the mtth for getting the amulet of kings, which I didn't need to create tamriel since I was Reman bloodline)
The Oghma infinium has some different outcomes for manipulating it. The best is the one I showed, the worst is you die

I managed to conquer all Nirn as Mane, though I edited Imperial Reconquest CB to reconquest de-jure kingdom. I think it's legit, because at mid-game almost all wars became illogical (and boring). Elsweyr had to to occupy all enemies' provinces to get enough warscore, but it got only two baronies in peace-deal. It was not logical to occupy and release most cities each ten years for two centuries.

Nirn conquest took about 900 years. It was quite slow until last two hundred years, but Akavir was conquered during single Mane's lifespan.

It seems to be a theme.
