Conquering the world with a small nation

Do you guys have any tips to conquer the world with a smaller country like Mexico for example? I am playing as Mexico now and I'm fighting my way trough Latin America. But now the Allies suddenly declare war on me
I have seen screens of people conquering the world with such small countries. How do you keep at peace with the Allies? Or do you wage war with them?

Just another fun fact: Austria has an alliance with Germany. Europe is at full peace right now, but maybe the Soviet Union might spoil that?

Your game is kind of spoiled (if ou were aiming for a WW2) as the German Anschluss event misfired in March 1938.

How to win as minors? Join any of the big three factions, annex any adversaries, then leave alliance and dow them. In the case of Mexico, it is dangerous to join any faction but the allies, but if you join the allies, then the USA will become very strong at the time you finally backstab them...

You should first aim to take down US then go for other nations. Try to allie first with someone to get extra free blueprints then leave the alliance
and go for conquering.

Strike the U.S. the SECOND you can get your troops to the border.
