Which vassals? Scotland and Ireland are in the British culture group. Northern France you'll already have cores on if you completed "Occupy Paris". You could have managed to get some cores already through border events.

Well, southern french ones, like Toulouse, Dauphine.
but hmm. Well. Guess I will find out. But if I inherit outside my culture group I won't keep buildings then?
Actually, Ireland is in it's own culture group, the Celtic.
Oh, & do remember you will get 1 point of Infamy for every region you inherit as England - no same culture freebies as England - not that there's a great deal to be done about that.
Was thing no cores on inheritance thing (outside your culture) something added in the 5.1 patch?
Because I'm sure I got cores when I inherited Austria in my Great Britain game (I was emperor at the time though...could have something to do with it perhaps?)
I also inherited Norway and I think I got cores. Hmm.
No you don't, inheriting is infamy free. Integrating on the other hand does cost you 1 infamy/prov.
I think that might have been changed in one of the early 5.1 betas. Are you playing unpatched 5.0?
you get cores if both nations are members of the HRE-emperor who is not member doesnt get cores. if you go with the claim throne route, you will take decades because you will never have enough diplomats-fabricate claims is much faster-since WC is your aim max sliders to mercantile (spies and trade income regardless of BB) and aristocratic (diplomats and military bonuses).
Well, it depends how active you are with bribing relations, claiming thrones, arranging alliances, embargoing other nations, declaring war (and peace) and playing with trading aggreements. I always find I either have 5 diplomats, or need about another 10 - I never have the right amount of them. Same with magistrates.
also generals/admirals, papal relations, HRE relations, warnings/guarantees.....+3 a year from aristocracy is essential for a PU/HW world conquest.Well, it depends how active you are with bribing relations, claiming thrones, arranging alliances, embargoing other nations, declaring war (and peace) and playing with trading aggreements.
