I think that new "culture" feature will make it a bit harder.

But it's fun to take over the world, though it gets a bit boring when you attempt it the second time.

I think that upkeep cost will ne much higher in eu2 (suggested by me, and paradox seamd intrested *feels proud*:D) then it will be harder to conquer the world.

And also more realistic. Standing armies like in EU1 were not common especially in the earlier phase.

I presume that if I say yes, you'll summon the "wrath of god" against me?:)

Personally, I've never even tried to rule the whole world....it's too grandiose and ahistorical for my taste.

And far too easy, judging by my gameplay experience and the multiple success reports on these forums!:)

Which is the Hole World that you wish to conquer? Saturn? Is conquering Earth not good enough for you?

Large sprawling empires have a natural tendency to fragment. EU2 should include this tendency, as well as more realistic (ie. hideously expensive) army maintenance costs. Which two things taken together would make it effectively impossible to conquer the world: the half you already have will shatter into pieces long before you can finish off the other half.

even conquering all of Europe during this period is already unrealistic

Napoleon achieved it.... barely....and briefly....

And I think Suleyman meant a pan-european empire, not neccessarily ALL of Europe.
