Hay! sry for my bad english but i really need help! I also starting with HoI3, earlier i did play only eu4 and hoi2/darkest hour. Now i starting with hoi3, but as im noob, i make my red HQ(that most important i think, that i had from start) AI controlled. I give that HQ too also reorganize option ON. He put some new HQ's, and give all of my armies under those lower HQ's. But... i cant change also order from those other hq's T.T those buttons are greay, so that mean i can change orders like from defence to attack only on that hightest one T.T Is this possible to get more than 1 that "red main HQ"? or can i anyhow unlock this grey buttons on lower hq's?? If any1 can help, thank you!

Best Regards,

By "red HQ" I presume you mean the theater HQ. If you automate the theater HQ, you also are automating all of its subordinate units (including subordinate HQs and divisions, and ships and airplanes, as well) and cannot give those units any orders (the AI give all orders, consistent with your limited instructions about stance and objectives). In general, you want to learn the game without automation, if you can.

If you want to issue orders to subordinate units, you will need to either (1) turn off unit automation (by re-clicking the automate button at the theater HQ), or (2) if you want to leave on automation for most units, but be able to control some other units, select the subordinate HQs and units you want to control, click the red, left-pointing arrow to disengage them from your automated theater -- and then create a new theater for those units (perhaps call that theater Manual Control HQ (you create a new theater by selecting a top-level HQ (army group) and then creating a new HQ on top of it).

Mhm the red HQ i mean also that with biggest amount of "X" ;33 that first one i get as a small country xd and well i like that automatic stuff that give AI controll over my armies, but! The "red HQ" when i make "on" on ai controll, and "on" on reorganize army, she(that red hq) create under she some new hq's, with lower amout of "X", and give those HQ's army's. And, i cant controll those HQ's that are under that red hq, i can switch only stance of that red hq(for example for defence or attack), but i want also controll more armies, that mean for example, that red hq, created 4 other hq,s and give them army, i want change stance of those 4 lower hq's, so i can go for more fronts, for example 1 hq get def stance for stay near france, and other will get attack stance to attack poland. But as red hq, i can only give 1 stance, def or attack for example, and cant give orders to lower hq's. Is this possible to make more "red hq(or like you call it theater)", or is it possible to give orders/stance to hq's under red hq?

If you detach a unit from its HQ, you can create a new HQ above it. Select the new HQ, and create a new HQ above that, and so on, until you have a new Theater HQ.

Yes it is. Create another Theatre HQ (red). Do this by detaching the lower HQ (big arrow on Left under the AI or automate button) and recreating a new command structure (ArmyGroup, Army, Corps) and then theatre HQ. Leave the troops you want to personally command on manual (do not change to AI control). Depending on your sucess you may also need to change the area of responsibility for the AI controlled Theatre.

Perfect, thank you ;3 and just 1 more question please, i tried to remove AI controll on Theatre HQ, then i was able to change stance/order from lower hq's. Do i losing much if AI controlled will be only lower hq's and the theater hq will just stay and do nothing? Or better choice its to make AI controll off of 1 or 2 lower hq's, so they wont be anymore binded to theater hq, and like this giving orders to hq's(attack, def, prep for example) that will auto controll armies??

I would say, unless you want to control yourself a part of the front tha it would be better to set the entire Theater as AI controlled.
Even in defensive stance if they can attack they will, if you are in offensive and the AI doesn't think it can attack, it will defend only.

As far as I know, the main change in behavior is how much they wait and expect supply. Blitz being rush in until there are no more supply while the opposite, prepare is stack up supply before any movement.

Thank you for answer ;> thats the thing, i play also as Philipines(i modded "a bit" capital + the whole country, so the power of ic/tech research is like 70% of Japan power ;3 and i want also have some armys, under lower HQ, that i can give orders where to move also(for exaple 1 army going to Borneo, 1 going to help Japan in pacific war/chinese war etc) xd well not even idea or AI controll is good for country like Japan/USA where need much using navy ;3 but the main question is, better AI Off from theater HQ >> take controll over lower HQ by puting on them AI controll ON, or maybe better is Theater HQ AI ON >> then remove/unbind lower hq from Theater HQ >> put AI controll ON on those unbinded from theater HQ, lowers HQ's.

I tried my first game all manual, but didnt even used any of hq's, was just building armies, the effect was really bad xd thats why i prefer to give the controll/organize over armies for AI, but i want just make more hq's, that have also armies, and if i want 1 of that army go to place "X", just changing AI controll of HQ on, then put attack and where they schould go, those armies. Sorry for so many question, but in compare to EU4/HoI2/DH its really hard to understand those mechanics(already scare how hard to learn gonna be hoi4 :D) xd already 3th game and still feel like noob xD

You can also leave the top HQ on manual control, and set most of the AG or Army HQs below it to AI control, except for those you want to control manually. The command chain will still operate for providing HQ bonuses, but the overall Theater will be a bit less focused without the Theater HQ having an order.
