Dozens of threads on this board have documented ways to get around every restriction in the demo (map click to play as any ruler, 666 mod to remove the time limit, vmware to save) and Paradox has not taken issue with any of it. Assaulting new players isn't the way. Try helping them understand this great game instead Thats the best way to get Paradox one more sale.

Well it's true that you can find a way around the demo to play any charcater, but then you perhaps shouldn't accuse us of this:

Surely the game wouldn't put you in a position where you can't do anything and just have to wait? What kind of a game would do that?
