Hello there,
I find myself in this situation: I wanted to go for the "Last Count, First King" achievement. A few generations in, a cascade of very funny (but in this context irrelevant) shenanigans led to me, "accidentally" (ahem) usurping the kingdom of Galicia. Only after that I realized that I could only form Portugal if I wasn't king already - I had made a mistake. So my quest to get rid of my primary title began.
And what I tried was this:
I added the feudal elective law to Galicia. At first, it seemed as if things were going my way: I voted for Count RandomDude of SomeOtherDynasty to become the next king of Galicia after I would be gone. The game informed me that this wasn't optimal and I might lose land, but I was satisfied. After all, the succession tab showed that my son would still inherit all OTHER titles, which was exactly what I wanted. But a while later something strange happened: The game changed its mind. Sure, Count RandomDude would still be the next king of Galicia, but now the succession tab showed that he would stand to inherit ALL my titles. The game warned me sternly that this would mean Game Over as soon as death's embrace would come for me. Voting for my son (or any family member, really) remedied this: My son would inherit everything. Unfortunately, also Galicia.
And thus, I am confused now: What is actually supposed to happen? Is it possible to get rid of one's primary title and kingdom this way and something bugged out? Or is it intended that all of my titles go to the winner of this election?
All I want, after all, is get rid of Galicia, so I can form Portugal. Any other tips how I can achieve this? Or should I just call it quits and accept this achievement run as failed? I mean, it was a pretty fun run, so no regrets, but I felt like I was *so* close to achieving my goal ...
