So I have downloaded and installed the DLC, loaded a post campaign save, and ran a couple of missions to see if there was anything different.

As far as I can tell I don't even know if the game is recognizing the DLC is installed, 2.5 months in and I don't see any flash points, the other thing that concerns me as while I am certain I finished the campaign the start map is still just the limited area that you get at the start of the campaign.

I am not running any mods either.

I know the latest patch is downloaded and running as I have been seeing the new in game events.

What's the deal to getting to these flash points?

If you dlc list says it's installed;
Watch the star map. They pop up randomly over time. The worlds with a glow. There's a modest alert you might miss.
Click on it and travel there.

Good luck.

I meant to say star map, is it supposed to open up so you can see the whole inner spehere post campaign?

Also, how long should I have to wait for a flash point, it seems silly that I would have to tool around after purchasing the DLC, I was already bored of that post campaign.

No. An expanded star map was never "on the books" for 1.3 or for Flashpoints.

Flashpoints should start showing up as soon as you start travelling around post-campaign. As others have suggested, check to make sure "Flashpoint" is marked as "Installed" on the main menu screen.

2.5 months in?

Are you up to handling 2-3 Skull Missions?

I don’t think i’ve seen a 2-Skull or less FLASHPOINT.

Can anyone confirm or deny 2.5 Skulls as the lowest Rated of the FLASHPOINTS?

I have 998 days remaining on my Career and I've already had a flashpoint expire (and another is 62 days away from expiration). I am not at all able to handle a 2 skull mission currently (yeah butt-kicking AI trashing two whole lances of my mechs over a couple of missions)... I currently have 2 other flashpoints blinking away at me in a mockery of Christmas lights (or maybe it's leftover Halloween decorations).

Those times would mean that the first Flashpoint popped up somewhere less than 40 days into my game and the second popped up somewhere around the 100 day mark.

If it's a post-campaign save, you should be seeing them almost immediately upon travelling to a new system. Definitely check to see if the main menu says that Flashpoint is installed.

It's resolved, seems to be a weird issue with the GOG updater. While it showed the DLC was installed from the main Battletech window and the version displayed was 1.3 the Flashpoint trigger would not fire off at all, it didn't matter how much I advanced that date, traveled, or took on missions.

I closed and reopened the GOG client at which point it started another update...hrrm odd, after the update I loaded the same save I was testing with by traveling to another location and the first Flashpoint triggered just as was stated it would in the thread.

Thanks all!
