Confederates and California? How did this happen?

So I played a game yesterday as the UK in the standard 1936 scenario. I was using the Gaga Tech mod.

Long story short - US fell apart about 1943 - First they changed to Right Wing Radicals then about 6 months later Confederates declared their independence and then a short time later California. Between the two they consumed the US.

How in the hell did this happen? Is there a way to reproduce this in another game? I can't tell you how many games I have played and never seen anything like this happen.

Can anything like this happen to any other country?

Yes. I once had troubles fighting Japan as the USSR, so I relied on heavy smear campaigning. After a year or so, China (which they had annexed) revolted as all those small nations, and eventually they even landed on the mainland.

Arsenal of Democracy is simply awesome.

The New Nations Mod (which sadly has never been ported to AoD) would have had you seeing even more countries.

I am 90% sure that GAGA lowers the dissent level for revolution events and the such........ Still wonder what the US did to get its dissent that high!
