Condotierri Problems in Lopsided Wars

How are you supposed to make your ally not "disappointed" with your Condotierri if they declare a war in which the enemy has basically no troops?

BBurg declared war on TO as TO was getting destroyed by Poland, my Condotierri army had to kill noble rebels in my country and then i marched over and sieged the only unoccupied province I could - but I didn't have enough troops to siege down the fort so they just stood there trying to siege. TO had no troops.

BBurg got all pissed that my Condotierri weren't doing enough.

Is this WAD? They shouldn't allow me to rent them the troops if there isn't anything for them to do.

Indeed, they shouldn't be very willing to hire Condottieri in the first place if the war is already looking good for them. Do you have a save from just before you offered them troops so we can investigate?

Unfortunately not. Thanks for the quick reply though. I'll keep try to replicate and snag a save. I think maybe they got confused because even though their war had just started the TO was already basically dead because of the war with Poland.

I had France keep my troops well after the war. Then say they were disappointed. Long after the war ended.

Still there's a pretty funny 'exploit' if you can be bothered to micro it. It's just amusing to me... but I'll make a separate thread rather then derail yours.
