We currently have consecutive deployment missions and the next logical step would be concurrent development missions. This would work similar to consecutive deployment in that you fight to missions back to back but you pick to seperate lances before deploying. So you would pick one lance on the development screen hit next, pick your second lance then hit deploy. The deployment screen shouldn't need to look any different.
These missions could be both flashpoints and procedural. Ideally completing optional objectives in the first mission could effect the second mission.
For instance, defeating reinforcements in the first mission prevents/delays or changes the reinforcements in the second mission to be lower tonnage/skill level.
This would incentivize players to maintain more mechs and train more pilots. This could also be coupled with consecutive deployments so that you get two concurrent missions foloowed immediately by two more concurrent missions.
There are alot of things that could be done with this but I think just adding simultaneous deployment missons would add a new strategic element with radically changing the way the game plays.
