So I took advantage of the paradox summer sale and bought the DLC Conclave. I started the a new game as the Duke of Toulouse in 769.
But here comes my problem. All my vassals are angry at me (showing their red fist) because they dont have a council seat. So I right clicked on their portraits to find a solution to bring them into my council. At the bottom it says" appoint councillor" but the option is grey. I dont have the requirements to appoint them because I dont have any honorary titels to grant. But here comes the joke. If i hower over the " grant honorary titel" option, the game tells me that this is possible because I have honorary titels to grant. So i did this and granted a vassal the titel "Master of the hunt". Theoretically he should be right now in my council but he doesnt appear there.

Here comes my question. How can i invite my powerful vassals into my council? It seems i dont get the game mechanic of the Conclave DLC.
I appreciate any kind of help and hope I didnt bother your with my beginner question.

thank you very much for your quick help. How can I change the problem with no "Advisor"? All my vasalls have a position like marshal, steward, etc. So were can I "create" Advisors? Is it under the laws menue and there council? If I let there the council do more things like War declearation, grant/revoke titels, executions the more advisors I get or how does it work?

You have to be a king to use advisors.

Basically you need to decide whether to give council positions to the best-skilled guys, or to the people you can't afford to have hating you.

vassals below counts can't rebel, so it's not a big deal if they hate you.....just less taxes/levies

your council, as a duke, is the 5 guys....marshal, chancellor, steward, spymaster, chaplain. None of the honary titles you can bestow get a council seat (except regent during a regency).

All your direct vassals will be annoyed if they don't have one of the 5 jobs. So you have 5 jobs to give out....either to someone good at the job, or to one of those angry vassals, who won't be angry if he has a plum job.

thanks for helping me. a last question if you dont mind. Why are then my vassals still angry that they dont have a council seat eventhough everyone of them is either marshal, steward, spymaster, chancellor or chaplain?

that's odd. i.e shouldn't be happening.

Only things I can think of is either an outdated mod, or try running time a few days, if you just gave him the job today.

Otherwie it looks like a bug.

most probably a mod because i have restarted the game several times and the game ends with a notification after several in game days that has nothing written on it and i cant click it away.
