Given latest games, namely Hearts of Iron IV and Stellaris have extremely limited and nearly nonexistant message system, compared to flexible and easily adjustable message systems of CKII and EUIV I am concerned about CKIII message system.
To set when you want game to pause and what messages to ignore is very important for gameplay and quality of life.

Just -please!!- let the new important messages popup under the important message that I'm currently reading and that I was about to click OK, only to dismiss the aforementioned new important message without getting a chance to read it.

I mean, if you don't pause the game to read your important messages, they ninja on you and you don't know what they were about.

CKII had message options for almost every action. For some reason, when I asked Stellaris devs about message systems they said it is not possbile to bring it to CKII levels due to engine and other mechanics. I don't know if such limitations would be present in CKIII but surely it is possible to add such an important part of UI.

Apologies for necroing this thread. With the release of CK3 drawing close I tried to google about message settings in CK3, but managed to only find threads like this where people were concerned that CK3 might not have the extensive and customisable message settings system that for CK2, EU4 and the other, earlier titles have. Have there been any official comment on this anywhere?

I know from the modding dev diavy that CK3 allows modding alerts, which is nice, but can I use those to, for example, make the game autopause when army arrives to its destination if there are no "real" message settings to support such?
