Foreword by Comrade Martov Krasnolinov
Comrades!
With the rise of fascist tyranny in the heartland of Europe and the shocking apathy of the cowardly democratic states in Western Europe and the United States, it is down to us, the glorious Soviet Union to ensure the safeguarding of the glorious Soviet Union, the great worker's paradise, from the oppressors!
With this in mind, let us consider our Glorious 5 year plan as founded on 3 primary objectives.
1. The further industrialisation of the Soviet Union.
2. The seeking of allies in these troubled times, as well as their ideological homogenisation and integration into the Soviet Union!
3. The fermentation of unrest, espionage and revolution by any and all means in the hated fascist states!
Within these objects I would regard as imperative these factors.
For the first, the vital increase of industry will allow us to engage with the fascist menace on an equal footing. Given the apparent apathy of the cowardly Democratic states, it will be down to us to fend off the fascist hordes both East and West, with allies or without. Hand in hand with this increase is the vital emphasis on training and equipment as well as the purging of undesirable elements! Our country, through the sweat of our workers, has seen great improvements in mineral extraction and processing, now it is time to turn all those into tanks to crush our enemies and shells to turn them to dust!
Our industry should also emphasise construction beyond the Urals, with the possibility of fascist saboteurs, if not direct invasion, given the loss of Poland to cowardly bourgeois reactionary elements, we must be ready to consider all Factories and cities west of the Urals as in danger. With industry capable of outproducing our enemies at the rate of many thousands to one, we will be assured of victory!
For the Second, we must seek out loyal allies! Ones willing and able to if necessary die for our cause! Already we have been approached by comrades in Romania, Czechoslovakia, Turkey and Greece who are interested in supporting us! We must support their coming revolutions by all means. Their aid will be vital in the furthering of Soviet Power in Europe. Given the divisions between certain of these states, we must stand above their petty disputes to meld them into a unified mass capable of launching great attacks into whichever state we see fit to send them. Italy appears to be a prime target for their depredations!
With the coming Spanish civil war, we believe it vital that maximum efforts be made to smash the cowardly Franco and his mindless legions! The latest fighters, the latest tanks and the latest people must be sent to smash the reactionaries! Spain will know that Soviet power is worldwide power!
Hand in hand with this is their integration into the Soviet Union, I have outlined the further future of these states in another document.
Finally, we must ferment revolution and unrest in the cowardly fascist states. They are founded on petit bourgeois demagogy, if their peoples may been the shown the error of their cowardly ways, victory is assured. Once their workers realise they are being led like lambs to slaughter in order to fatten up fat capitalist fat cats, they will rebel. If revolution is impossible then the infiltration of their administrative and security organs is imperative. Let them chase their own tails like the blind sheep that they are.
To this I add a further note on the build up of our glorious Krasnii Armii.
I believe that Comrade Tukhachevsky, although of questionable patriotism and ideological fervor, is the commander whose ideas we must follow. The deep battle doctrine is the most revolutionary of all battle tactics! Overwhelming firepower and swift exploitation is how comrade Lenin would've wanted it! Therefore let us emphasise our mechanised forces and airforce! The Red Army will sweep the air and land clear of the fascist beast!
Furthermore, let us not forget our good comrades in the Balkans who despite their clear devotion to socialism, are unlikely to be able to hold back the tide of the fascist menace alone. Therefore for their support let us emphasise three things! Firstly the construction of an effective coastal naval force to allow their effective fire support and flank protection as well as allow our glorious Morskaya Pekhota to run wild over the fascist beast's long communications lines.
Secondly, let us focus on our heroic VDV, the fascists might claim an effective force of paratroopers but we know better. Let us surround and crush the fascists with airborne and airlanding assaults in the balkan states! A swift eradication of Hungary is foremost on the agenda!
Finally, we must ensure an effective force of mountain troops to help our beleaguered comrades in Czechoslovakia and Romania! As well as allowing for whatever else may arise!
