Greeting Comrades! The Romanian people are tired of the oppressive rule of their monarchy; it is now time for the workers to rise up and reclaim our nation, and spread the glorious revolution. We would rather die than see our oil fuel the fascist war machine! It must be used to power the machines of the worker's revolution!

It appears some people in the new center thread have declared themselves soviet union so if all else fails I guess I will go Yugoslavia or baltic union.
Bah, the Soviet union is large and mighty enough for both of you, there are multiple fronts anyway
To be fair, he was the first who called dibs, but unfortunately got buried by the flood of responses. I at least think he deserves a place in the SU as a partner, but not to be made to feel like he got here too late.
My mistake, I must've missed him. :/ I fear that what happened was that we had one thread, then another... then another... so I got to call dibs on the new thread where everyone was posting confirmations whilst presumably Markoth was out.
As I posted in another thread (and indeed when I confirmed) I'm well up for sharing.
The 1st Romanian 5 Year Plan:
The Romanian people expect that the fascist menace will try to stop the glorious revolution, we expect that we only have around 5 years to prepare, but our brave workers and soldiers will be ready to defend our motherland!
1936 - We aim to increase our industrial output: we must be able to field a strong army if we are to defend our land. Hopefully the revolution will have begun, and will have full control over our glorious nation.
1937 - If the revolution has not started yet, it must do so soon. We must join the Commintern officially by the end of this year. Since we are now a glorious part of the Revolution we must maximise our industrial output as well.
1938 - Hopefully we have constructed all possible factories, and we can begin construction of land fortifications to help defend the Revolution and the Motherland against the fascist invasion. We also aim to try and develop some sort of air force to defend our skies, but this will depend on our supplies of aluminium and rubber - perhaps other revolutionary countries can trade us these resources for our oil.
1939 - We expect to see Fascist aggression begin soon, and so we must ensure that we have a sufficient miltary to defend our motherland. Hopefully we can have at least 2 divisions per border province.
1940 - If we are not already at war, we expect that this will be the last year of peace. Hopefully we will have 5 research slots by now; our scientists and engineers are essential as they will develop the means to repel the fascist menace, and the same tools which will spread the glorious Revolution!
I hope to hear the 5 Year Plans of our comrades in other countries.

It is my hope that despite ideological differences, the Comintern recognizes the importance of the continued survival of (allied)Chechoslova during early Axis agression. I hope you will recognize the value of supporting them with arms and volunteers in those crucial moments.
Comrade Czechoslovakia!
The Soviet Union is pleased to have such a loyal and redoubtable ally as heroic Czechoslovakia on the glorious Comintern! Yet another brick in the great Eastern European wall against Fascism! Your freedom and independence is guaranteed!
The people of Romania will not help these 'Allied' nations; why be allies when you can be comrades. How can you call it the survival of Czechoslovakia when it is rotten to the core, controlled by burgeois swine! The only way for Czechoslovakia to survive the fascist menace is to join the Commintern. Regardless of the actions of the Czechs, it does not matter; the revolution cannot be stopped, and will soon reach Prague!
My comrade, I believe he is choosing to have the burgeois swine rule his country, rather than the workers!
Shhh! It is all in hand! Once our joint forces have marched into Czechoslovakia, we shall immediately declare war on them and install a puppet government! If he is ideologically pure he will not bad an eyelid to the take over! Already organs of state security are infiltrating his administration!

Sorry Czechoslovakia, what I meant to say was, our brave soldiers will gladly garrison Prague, Bratislava, and other important locations.
