I am currently working on a mod in which Trotsky takes control of the USSR after Lenin's death, and thus I have to work on how the world would be different than under Stalin's rule, and I was wondering if anyone could help me in anyway.

I have done some of the more obvious steps, (the government is now Leninist with a strong interventionalist policy for instance, as Trotsky's own belifs were) but I was wondering if I had missed anything more subtle.

If anyone could help me with anything (especially if Trotsky's 'worldwide revolution' of international communism would have effected any othe countries to become left-wing, or even be annexed by the USSR (especially Communist China)) that would be most helpful.

I'm also working on one in which Adlof Hitler was killed in the First World War (almost happened) and how that would effect Germany. The Nazi party may not have been so succesful without his leadership, perhaps paving the way for the communists (with funding and arms from Trotsky's interventionalist USSR) to take power. Again, any help would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure, but I think it'd be safe to figure that he wouldn't have let the old Tsarist territories that broke free (Baltics, Finland, Poland) alone, so they might've been, errr, 'tampered' with (I guess).

The Nazi party may not have been so succesful without his leadership
well, considering that the NSDAP virtually fall apart when he was in prison, I think it wouldn't do nearly as well. the KPD would have probably taken power then (its hard for me to decide, since Hindenberg loathed the Bolsheviks, but if the KPD became the largest party in Weimar Germany then he may not have had any choice other than accept a communist government)

Too complicated.
As my time is limmitted I'l limmit myself to the following:
The Comintern under Trotsky staged so many failed coups (including in the Baltic states, Bulgaria and other minors) that I doubt they would've acheived much anyway.
And at which point does Trotsky take power?
Does Stalin not ever pose a threat, or does Trotsky simply win the competition against him?
Also, with Hitler dead there is a good chance that Bavaria would secede (always a secesionist place) and that Germany would either be ruled by communists of the anarchist variety (not to worry, power corrupts) and there definitely would be worse relations with the western allies for the USSR as Trotsky openly preached overthrowing their governments, while Stalin acted quite cordial with them.

Yes, most of the party were convinced of how dangerous Stalin was in this timeline, and Trotsky seemed to be the lesser of 2 evils.

WWII may have begun earlier, with the new Communist Germany and USSR, against Italy, Britain and France. Of course, it would go much quicker, as Germany would probably not have had enough time to recover, or the recovery be as dynamic as Hitler's, while the USSR whould have not have had Stalin's industrialism.

Perhaps many of the fascist nations in Eastern Europe would have been 'persuaded' to become more left-wing, and indeed some (mostly ex-tsarist) invaded once the army was improved in some way.

Also, Republican Spain would most likely have one the civil war, with no Nazi Germany to assist the Nationalists
