Computer shoot down, no more random new world!!!

Hi.
I was playing the game, then I had to go and fix some things so I pause the game (ironman mod with random new world, the year is 1502 playing as sweden) and when I came back the computer had restarted because of an update for windows. When I started the
game again and loaded up my save game, the new world was not random, it was like the original, just that the provinces names was random :sad:.

Is there any way I can fix this??

No real idea, sorry, this is all very new so far of course.

How about starting a new game with the RNW turned on, then exit back to menu and load this game?

nope did not work and I had just claim my independence and was about to conquer all the Baltic lands.

Hahahaha, the wonders of technology. I did as you said, started a new game with a random world and that work, made a save and the I started up my old save game but there was no random world. So I exited the game and after some time I thought, well I can always continue. When I then loaded up my old save there was a random world

It crashes when you had the random world back? Could you upload the savegame to a filehosting website and link it here?

Yes, I played for max 1 min then it crashed and when I loaded the save after I had restarted the game the game did not generate the random world.

Ok, now In think I understadn how things work. Every time the computer is shut down something happens because when I then restart the computer then restarts the game, load the save, this happens. When the game is loaded (ordinary map) there is no trade nodds and maybe some other things is also off. When I then exit to the main menu the game starts to ungenerate(??) the random map when there is no random map, so it crashes after maybe 15 seconds to the desktop. I the restarts the game and when I load the save it generates the random map.

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local files" in Steam
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/EU4 AND Documents/EU4
- re-install game in Steam, run a verify when done.
