I would say somewhere between 20-40% of our users use AMD cores. Have you done something different to yours, overclocked it or something?

No modifications. Would it be possible to break down the statistics on requests for tech support? Might be a correlation between a specific family of AMD cores and high incidence of crashing. I would also suspect there is a rather large group of people not on these forums asking for support. (As evidenced by just plugging "Crusader Kings II" "Random Crash" into google.)
We have not systematically recorded such things, I was just working off my impressions for those numbers.
But my point is if no-one running AMD CPUs could successfully run the game, we'd have known that well before now, nearly 3 years into the game's history. So that made me wonder whether, when you said "Clauswitz doesn't like my AMD core" you were implying that yours was different from others'. That's all.
And, you say Clausewitz rather than CK2 specifically - are you having this same problem with other PDS games?

I say Clausewitz because so far it has been the core game without any mods or dlc. This gives me an impression it's either the Engine or the code it self. I have also noticed a a lot of people with AMD cores are reporting a similar problem. Not saying ALL Amd cores are having it, but since AMD chipsets have families... Maybe one type of core from AMD is having it?

and searching for "Aspire M3470G" i found a new Bios from 2012 and a sound driver from 2011.
Maybe you should update your sound driver.
another idea i had, turn vysync in your nvidia control panel on. Maybe that could help.
..and maybe check the current status of your hardware accelaration in display-settings-advanced-troubleshoot.

Updated everything, still crashed. haven't tried Vsync might do that tomorrow, seeing the game crash this many times is depressing.
If changing vsync or hardware accelaration doesn't change anything for the better, i can only ask to have a look into your graphics settings in the Nvidia Control panel.
Other than that it could be the Nvidia driver. Found quite some threads with issues regarding nvidia drivers and games....or a hardware problem, but then other games would probably be affected as well.

Disabling Vsync didn't work. The Driver I am running isn't even out yet (Beta) but I have tried rolling it back before. As Far as Graphic settings everything is either application controlled or off. My hardware is Immaculate, only had one other game with a similar problem recently but that was related to the program not being able to draw roads without crashing horribly.
I should mention that in a few days I am going to stop trying. Considering I am running the latest Beta patch which means there is no fix in sight for the game, and that I bought the game to entertain me until the release of something else... which is very close.
Also I am sure I spent more time trying to fix the game then playing it. It will likely be allocated to the bottom of my steam folder until it is fixed on your end. That's if anyone acknowledges it might be something wrong with the software and not my hardware.
I don't mean to sound snotty about this but I did spend $85 on CK2 and DLC and I ended up playing around with my video settings and drivers more often then vassals and kings. I could have bought a lot of cans of rockstar for that money... :sad:

Have you checked your hardware accelaration setting as i mentioned before ?
Could also be a Steam and/or some antivirus program issue.
Try to run the game directly from the game folder without Steam and keep Steam deactivated.

run it with a new game.

I am having the same problem but I havent updated to 2.2.0.3 beta patch yet. However I know its not my hardware, its this game because none of my other games crash unless its an early release game which its suppose to be glitchy. However this game just crashes all day long every since that last patch update.
While you may have similar symptoms, that doesn't mean your cause is the same. Please start a new thread with full system and problem info, thanks.
On a lark I started the game with the "Beta beta" 2.2.0.3...

Well it crashed, but only after nearly an hour and a half of play. Heck of a lot better then 10 minutes.
With the 2.2.0.2 BETA the crashes where completly gone.
Now with 2.2.0.3 BETA they are unfortunaly back. CK2 crashes after 10 minutes or later.

The game used to segfault on 2.2 every 5-30 minutes, with 2.2.0.3 the crashes are gone. Too lazy to provide backtrace but seems like the patch fixed some of the bugs.
