So get this, The Ottoman Empire, Poland (With PU over Lithuania), Castile (With PU over Aragon and Naples), France, Great Britain, Austria (With PU over Hungary), and Denmark (With PU over Sweden and Norway) are all on the same side in the HRE religious war. Their opponent is lead by Bavaria. They have a whopping 4 provinces! Huzzah!

Russia and I (Prussia) have not picked a side yet. That said my empire is not that large and I would struggle against any one of those great powers. Russia didn't break through to Siberia in the early game so they are no threat at all.

RIP Protestant league

That is quite unusual. I would guess you were just incredibly unlucky. In my observer game the other day I saw a very strong Protestant side win the League war.

Mind posting Political mapmode and Religious mapmode, with CoRs visible? Presumably for neither Denmark or GB not to join, the three Protestant CoRs all spawned in Germany?

Yes though Utrecht, Prag, and a province right near Utrecht (never saw them spawn so close before) were the Protestant CoR's and Stockholm was the only Reformed CoR I noticed. Sweden did not turn reformed though and Denmark/Norway were still Catholic. The only Protestant nations were all in the HRE and it was almost everything north of the alps.

For the record I am not complaining about the balance. I just had never seen it this lopsided before and found it interesting enough to post. Tomorrow when I boot the game back up it will be fun to watch the cluster **** of OPM's get slaughtered en masse. I might just join the catholic side just for the luls.

If you have the Mandate of Heaven DLC then being on the winning side is one of the objectives for the Age of Absolutism.

Also you get the pretty nice military modifiers for 100 years for taking part. -5% mil tech cost and +0.5 army tradition.

Stockholm was the only Reformed CoR I noticed. Sweden did not turn reformed though
Sweden LOVES staying Catholic; I see it in nine out of ten observer games.
