Completed Case Anton - Can't Find French Fleet?

I conquered France, and took the whole thing, no Vichi. It's only the second time I've made it that far since I came back to the game a week or so ago. I have all the DLC, and I noticed an option to launch Case Anton for 50 political power. I hid some tanks two provinces away in Italy, and then launched the option while sending the tanks to Toulon. Tanks are the fastest army I have, and I made it in plenty of time. Then I received a notice that Germany had saved the French fleet from being scuttled.

I've waited about 11 days or so since the event, and I'll be darned if I can locate the French fleet that I rescued. I hit F2 and only see my current fleet. I've tried hitting F2 and dragging a box (drag selecting) wide areas of the map, but I only pick up army units. Is there somewhere I need to look in order to get the French fleet?

Here is what I see when I look at the area, from the F2 (fleet) screen. I see loads of Italian fleets. What am I doing wrong? How do I get the French fleet that I saved into my German fleets? Thanks!

Edit: BTW, all my forum, Google and YouTube searches focus on not being able to initiate Case Anton. I've yet to find something about not actually acquiring the French fleet.

I watched this video on YouTube and it look like the player received the ships right away, though that was over a year ago, and things may have changed with the patches.

I waited quite a while after supposedly getting all the French ships and still nothing. I saved the game before I triggered Case Anton, and I've run it several more times since, always the same result. Bug? Maybe I should try with regular troops? Maybe tanks don't count?

So I tried capturing with regular troops as well, and still no ships. Wow! I tried shutting the game down and repeating several times. No luck. Well maybe in the next patch?

You are saying you conqured all of France and didn't form Vichy. So there shouldn't be an option for Case Anton. If I read your screenshots correctly it seems you formed collab. goverment puppets in Poland and France, so maybe you got another France Puppet the decision appeared?
In any case, since you conqured all of France there was no fleet to gain.

Yes, you're exactly right. I used the spies to create a collaboration government in France and Poland. So it's just a bug, though I sure would like to have the fleet since I took France, and I had a collaboration government, but I get it, it's not historical. I was surprised that I received the option, and from what I could discern this has been a bug for about a year now, but maybe something that had been successfully addressed and then somehow resurfaced? Thanks for taking the time to look into it for me.

That could have easily been the case. What I can tell you is that I had all green checks in the Case Anton option, and I did start and complete the military requirements.

You were right, even though the game gave me the option for Case Anton, the Free French took the fleet. Look what I just discovered. So, if a player creates Vichy France, then the fleets stay where they were historically, and if a player takes all of France, then they have the Free French Navy to contend with.

Only normal Vichy France gets the ships. If Vichy France wasn't created upon capitulation, then the entire fleet goes to Free France. Any "Vichy France" you spawned afterwards won't get any ships

Yes, that is exactly what I'm seeing. It was just a bit confusing for me, because the option to complete Case Anton came up, then I completed it and I received zero ships.
