Complete lack of flavour text for units

I also agree that they should bring back flavour texts, the good thing with aow 3 flavour texts were that by reading the texts you could have a rough idea of what abilities the unit had. Like the gryphon's first strike or the node serpent's high mobility is well referenced in the descriptions. One thing I also noticed that there were that unit designs do not conform with their abilities in aow4. The flow serpent and astral serpent have eyes all along ts body, should they not have total awareness?

I've not seen that event pop on water, but I'm among those who think they just need to remove naval combat, or make it fully on the deck of ships. The few naval fights I've had were even worse than pathfinder without dedicated navel units, which is pretty bad.
Sounds good, I think I understand your point of view better.

Not gonna argue about naval combat, I started systematically auto-resolving after watching those boats play bumper cars a single time. It didn't look as bad in Planetfall because most units had range (although it was arguably very silly already), but here... oh boy.

It's a hard problem to solve, better discussed in another thread.
