Complete freezup during start of game

If I try to cancel the intros by pressing spacebar instead of escape during the game startup. the game freezes up completely on my machine. Three times, with one reboot in between. When I used escape (after a freezup but no reboot) the game started.

to avoid such problems in the future rename the avi folder to something else.

Uh... I never remembered having those problems when skipping the intros of EU2 and HoI.

Possibly it was disabled on those and not this one.

I did.

The first day I got EU II and installed it, the video started up. I pressed space bar to skip, and it froze up. I just about freaked out when it happened. The I pressed space again (my all purpose panic button) and it picked up right where I froze it. Learned to press escape from then on.

It's like that for EU II and HOI.

If you do not want to play the intro why not just disable it?
