Complete Computer Crash When Quitting in 1.07 but not 1.06b

I purchased from Steam the Legacy of Rome DLC and have had repeatedly ( but not constantly) my MacBook Pro completely unresponsive when I click Quit from within the game. It has not happened yet from the main (title) menu, only within an actual game in play.

This has never happened in 1.06b and I've got over 100 hours with that version, but in just two hours it's happened twice with 1.07.

I get a black screen and am unable to force quit the application, though it is clear the computer is still running. I must power off.

I have a MacBook Pro Retina with 16 Gb ram, 1 Gb video ram, and a quad core i7. .

Further update: it's actually quitting the main screen, that is the screen where one can load a game, start multiplayer, do in game purchases etc that causes the crash. Happens so often that I'm reluctant to play any more.

Ok, it's quite consistent. I get a crash very often now, more than half the time, when quitting the game by any means. It's so bad I have to reboot the computer each time, and I'm getting concerned that the repeated crashes will cause corruption of the drive, or at least tons of garbage temp files all over.

This was NOT a problem with 1.06b. WTF??
