Really, it only looks funny to people who are familiar with Cyrillic. Considering that faux Cyrillic is not intended for those who understand Cyrillic, it's probably of not much concern. I do feel it has a certain je ne sais quoi to it, but maybe that's just me being a semi-Russophile without a decent grasp on the language yet.
