I don't want to give the impression it's a German language modso how about that "kommunistischen Deutschland"?
Depends on their interventionismi looked into the event files, it seems that once they get the commune on the march event, they start to gather troops on my boarders... just how much belligerence will they tolerate?
You had a land connexion to them? I'll look into italso when i allied with USSR once and at war, USSR never sent any troops to help me, instead they Dow Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania immediately. i've seen their planes flying everywhere in my territory, but no ground support what so ever...
Sure that might be cool, I was going to do that myself but painfully transcribing individual words like "socialism" and "republic" using an internet translator is tedious AND probably gives inaccurate results!
700 officers is plenty I think.
Well yes, but obviously the historic war officers are way, way better. And seeing as they were already in service during the Weimar Republic, there's really no major reason for them to leave.
It has about 300 events so far, which will probably increase, but it's playable right now.Is it already a fully playable mod? If not, when will it be? I like the idea. I tried to play with commie Germany before but there were no events so I was just waiting for a mod..
I'm currently revising the tech teams and the DDR will probably have the world's most advanced nuclear programme: Einstein (a socialist!) and Gustav Hertz (nephew of the one the SI for frequency is named after) were both prominent Jewish nuclear physicists who fled Nazi Germany in '33.

Ok, I'll remove that restriction.1: Why oh why doesn't the decision to attack the allies show up until after you attack the Soviets? It would be much nicer if the player had a choice in who to attack first. In my current game, the coup in Poland failed, so the only way to attack the Soviets (without getting into a messy, messy, two-front war) was through Romania and Finland. I could have started the war manually, but (because the belligerence of the allied countries was at 0) I would have had to wait for my spies to use the global manipulation mission successfully, which feels a bit gamey.
That's what I get for not testing things properly... does it immediately replace the ministers you just appoint/elected? I guess I'll apply the slider changes before the minister changes.2: The events for electing/appointing chancellor and president seem a bit borked at the moment. Two or three events declaring the chancellor/president fire at the same time, which wreaks havoc with my Authoritarian vs. Democratic slider.

Copied him across too, thanks.Awesome!
Let's not forget Wernher von Braun, that old Bomb Builder. He claimed repeatedly that he didn't care about politics and didn't support the party. So then he won't mind if we conscript him for the people's cause, right.
The minister changes fine, I get whichever was elected last. There are instances where I get events where the president/chancellor is both elected and appointed (meaning I have say two events where the leader is chosen by the game and one where I choose the leader). I looked through the event files and I'm not quite sure why this would happen, you definitely sleep the correct events. Maybe try using a few flags?
Have you looked at the 1933 mod events for Communist Germany? they were a lot more nuanced than the "COUP EVERYONE" Communist Germany events.
