I am Communist China. It is 1946, for almost 10 Years I have been fighting Japan and a few months ago victory became a reality. Since the Allies would not finish the job themselves, I had to sneak (with much frustration) a few divisions and transports to capture the last Japanese victory points in the Dutch indies. Then I annexed Japan and everything was fine. Now I am back in civil war with the other Chinese factions to unify the homeland.

However i noticed something that bothers me. As I annexed Japan, i kept the dutch territories that I had occupied. So I am at peace with the Netherlands, yet I am occupying their Territories.

is there an event that fires to give them back? I wouldnt mind declaring war and annexing the entire dutch indies but that would bring me in conflict with the Allies and a geared up United States.

So, how do i give up occupied territories (not annexed) back to their owner?
yes, we are at peace.

btw, I am playing on Armageddon with the latest patch.

You should be able to do so in negotiations. If you can't, anytime a dutch unit enters the province, it will revert to them. As the odds of this happening are slight, just roleplay that you are protecting those provinces for them, it's not like holding those provinces is harmful to you.
