Communist China - is it worth trying to play?

In vanilla game, playing as Comm. China is very harsh. I had a look at TRP events for it and couldn't make a conclusion whether it is possible to repeat victorious historical journey of Mao and his comrades in a fight against corrupted Nat. China

Has anyone tried playing Communist China? Is it more playable than in vanilla HoI2?

It is possible cause Communist China are not using the Guerilla line of warfare so their troops are actually better than Nationalist Chinese but Nationalist have mroe.

I use Guerilla warfare, I think that it was predestined. And Marco Polo bridge incident pushed me to an alliance with all Chinese states against Japanese aggression.

Before that, I was able to annex Shanxi and create barrier against Kwantung Army in the mountain provinces Changde, Chifeng and Jinzi. But I cannot think of trying to advance there. I have base IC 6.

I have an impression that Japs are going to smash me or with little luck I will wait for the US invading Japan and make an attempt to gain Manchuria and then Nat. China. Now I cannot leave the alliance with Chinese states.

i had a situation that seemed to be quite like yours..the solution was that i just waited for the japs to bind enough nationalist forces and then stabbed kwantung in the back :rofl: and with most of china under my control and better economy i was able to clean china from the japanese insurgents ^^

only that it was the "original" doomsday version.
what is that "vanilla" thing anyway?

ChiCom in TRP is a wholly different thing compared to regular HOI2.
"Vanilla" in this context basically means "regular" or "original".
