ive found that the common interest factions just dont work well basicly in my rome playthrough everyone refuses to give up there titles as they are in a massive faction even tho the faction is friendly to me i revoke and boom civil war empire imploads
i also hate how i go to war for a faction as they say theyll be happier if i fight so i do but after the war they hate me as the defeated guy joins the faction souring the faction opinion of me and boom civil war a year later
ive tried a bunch of stuff to fix it but now i just want rid of it so where in the files are they and what do i delete to remove them

None of this is actually how the 4-interest factions work. You are incorrectly attributing other mechanics to them. E.g., they have no response to revoking a faction member's titles -- vassals just do that period, and it has nothing to do with the faction. The other bit about going to war for a faction that says they'll be happier if I fight -- it makes no sense to me at all. Either your phrasing is completely off, or this also is not a problem (why accept the call-to-arms if you don't want to fight for whatever their demands are? just don't, right?).

You cannot easily delete the 4-interest faction system from EMF. It would be a project for a modder, as it is integrated tightly into most of our own systems.

I wouldn't interpret my coworker's favorable comments on my performance as a free pass to take his/her 4K TV outright.

I think he's saying when he attacks someone a faction wants him to after he's won the war and vassalized that person they join the faction that asked for the war and as they are upset turn the faction against him.

That still doesn't make any practical sense. Faction mood is the average of all members' opinion of their liege, and there is no way for a deposed ruler to "turn them against him" no matter how much he hates the liege unless he's basically the only member.

Further, 4-interest factions never ask you to attack someone with them with the goal of making you liege. If you somehow become the liege after that victorious civil war, then you -- in simple terms -- already had a strong claim on their primary title, and they awarded you with the liege's title because of that claimant status and the fact that you were part of the rebellion. Does the OP _not_ want to be awarded with the title that he's just been granted by the faction leader as a total bonus after willingly choosing to opt-in to the rebellion?
