The WE also rises from recruitment in peacetime. It should probably be considered dissatisfaction rather than war exhaustion.

Alright, thanks. But how fast does it decrease then?

Hmm... I think the eventual loss of stability would be better than adding WE during peacetime. This peacetime WE thing would be easily exploited anyway by just waiting a year or two to declare war.

In some cases, it much, much more than doubles you monthly tax income from provinces.

One example would be a non-state cultured non-state religion province without road access (at 10%), for a shia (or confucian) nation, while at stab <=1. The tax modifier would be 100%-30%-30%-10%-20%=10%.

With war taxes, the modifier would be 160%, an increase by a factor 16. :)

I guess I'll ignore what the tooltips say ;) But isn't that a bit much? +50% would be acording to the rules & more realistic. No wonder money still isn't hard to come by.

Having a huge army around isn't easy on the economy, even if it's just for one-two years.

+50% would make it a "never hit me button" due to the stability hit. Remember that your gain is old the surplus income minus your stability raising cost in most cases. :)

i like the losing stability for raising masses of troops. Say if your france and you recruit over 30,000 troops a year, lose stability, or something :) Good idea in my opinion, something to be looked at maybe?

Wow. I love this patch. I'm not spending all my time crushing rebels (easily but time-consumingly). Instead I get severe economic problems and a few nasty rebellions. It just feels so much better now....... 3 rebellions at once makes me afraid instead of annoyed (and it doesn't happen every month ;)).

Excellent. :D :D :D

Yeah, it is great. I just played a game as France in 1492. My allies got into war with Italian minors and Spain, Austria and England (all AI) attacked me.:)

Why? Does Turkey need to be made even weaker?

What was the point of removing the Jylland/Sjaelland connection anyway?

And in practically all of my games, it's Sweden's fault.... and Sweden doesn't even have a land connection to Sjaelland.... and wouldn't benefit from one to the European mainland anyway.

It just seems to hurt Denmark even more. But maybe others have different experiences.

I second that.
NO seperation of Thrace-Smyrna. that will 100% kill Turkey for sure.
I dont like the Jylland/Sjaelland seperation either, because the whole problem is indeed Sweden (which is easy correct in the ai files btw).
From a ai point of view Denmark is now weaker then ever.
Sure the German minors may not beatup Denmark anymore - at least not get Jylland - but that only happend one out of 10 games (Denmark as often beat them up) - the rest 9 is Sweden.

Sweden is the problem child of NVG, DAN, NOR, RUS, MOS nearly always - and Jylland/Sjaelland seperation is not the way to solve it!

Sjaelland and Jylland needed to be seperated because they should never have been connected in the first place. Denmark's navy took a huge leap up in strategical importance with this one simple change, especially if its human led. You're perfectly right that this one change will not stop AI Sweden from walking all over AI Denmark, but it could help. Even if it doesen't this change has righted a historical wrong, and given a proper strategical representation of the area.

As far as Smyrna-Thrace is concerned, its a vital link, without it, OE (unless it kept its capital in Anatolia) wouldn't get any manpower from outside of Europe. I'm sure the Sultan would be none too pleased to be missing out on that nice Egyptian manpower. ;)

What planet are you coming from? :D

A planet without the Thrace-Anatolia link, I think. The result of removing the Thrace-Smyrna link would solely be that the distance from Thrace to Smyrna rose from one province to two. No impact on manpower whatsoever, since the Thrace-Anatolia link is quite sufficient in that regard. :)

Does the removed landconnection between Jylland and Sjelland affect Danish manpower figures?
