You are playing Tuscany and trying to form Italy. On the command decisions screen is a list of titles, one of them is entitled “Kingdom of Italy.” Next to the title is a list that looks similar to the National Ideas screen's square icons. So basically you want the way kingdoms are claimed in Crusader Kings: Deus Vult be implemented to EU2.

Sorry, I am not entirely sure what you mean. I am not familiar with CK:DV.

EU3 has a lot of specific things you can decide as a player and can be modified by users, such as sending spies and national ideas. This idea is to create a place for lots of additional such items to be created, essentially anything that can be created in an event (which should be up to the player) could be created inside the Command Decision Screen.

I think it would be great for nearly any strategy game. But this is the one I love and is already perfectly set up for modders. :)

I think the forums will survive. If for no other reason than people like to talk to each other about what they are doing. :rofl: Most of the AARs that I read are for information about what other people are doing with the game I enjoy.

It should lead to an explosion of creativity since all four of the basic types of events would then be well placed within the game:

1. Random Chance, Ruler Reaction. i.e. Earthquake, what do you do?

2. Random Chance, No Ruler Reaction Possible. i.e. Plague, you can't do anything.

3. Non-Random, No (Direct) Ruler Reaction Possible. i.e. Forces of History, like the reformation. (Might be randomized to some degree to prevent players from predicting too much.)

4. Non-Random, Ruler Directed. i.e. Command Decisions, like expelling all Muslims from Granada by Castile.

The game is great at the first three and pretty good at the last one. This addition would make it the best game for modders of which I am aware.

on the contrary, I think the forums would have even more people. People sharing expirences = more AARs, modders posting mods, and other stuff like that

Maybe an expansion to Rome. I'd imagine that NA is it for EU3 (besides some future patches, which it won't make it in), and Rome is probably mostly finished up at the moment.

Many will complain but I'm willing to pay for added features. Not sure what they could use as a "hook" to sell it though; I don't think any further time-extension is likely.

I just played the Papal States. I was Curia controller and Papal Sponsor, and I got my but kicked by Austria in the first 3 years. I never got the chance to excommunicate them! :(

I like this idea of the Command Decisions Screen, considering that I have already bought EU3 + NA, I would pay up to £5, mabye pushing £10 for this to be implemented as an expansion pack as well as some other great ideas I've read here!

Unfortunatly I won't look forward this being in Rome since I like the timeframe of EU3 because of its historical time period.

1453-1836 could somewhat work, but since no game from 1453-1793 to begin with looks anything like 1793 did historically, it'd be a bit useless unless players started in the 1800's. A better hook in that case would be 1419-1836, or simply just 1419-1820. (EU2 timeframe)
