The Brotherhood of Nod was created over 2000 years ago, first appearing in Soviet Russia when papers signed by Kane were found in the Kremlin, which is sort of common knowledge.

During the Second Great Depression caused by the loss of American dependence on oil (by the use of alternative resources, like Hydrogen and Solar power), the Brotherhood came to power in Russia and China, during the Tiberium crisis of 1995. They used the countries' vast resources and respective ideologies to create the stronger brotherhood it is now.

"Nod has the people, resources, organization, and raw military power necessary to stand against GDI and wage war on a global scale. The Brotherhood of Nod is a new hybrid organization that has the combined characteristics of a religious movement, a multinational corporation, and a nation-state."

"Our relationship with Tiberium has always been greatly misunderstood. Most people do not realize that the roots of our faith extend back several millennia, long before the emergence of the green crystal on Earth in 1995...an event prophesized by our great leader, Kane." ~ Nod Recruitment Video

You also can't forget the forgotten, you could have them as the partisans, but they have to large a base in the Middle East for that and are neutral in the conflict, sometimes even used by both sides. They usually use old GDI tech.

I hope that helps.

Know that. You can get the same information on wikipedia and even more. I am just only asking you if there is a part of the text on which says that NOD has taken SU as puppet. If yes it is cool if not we will stay on the theory that SU changes to NOD (In my AAR dark doomsday I plan that to change SU to NOD if SU wins the war. After that i will edit the dissent to 100% and some claims. So some nations will be freed by revolts). If everything should go right NOD should keep only the lands in the Middle east and North Africa which will be their claims. P.S. If they control a nation it is their nation, if they are a nation and control an other nation that the nation is their puppet.

It depends who wins the second world war, or the first Red War (whatever its called), would determine the fate of SU. If they won, Nod would probably control it from behind the scenes and Red Alert 2 would never happen, I don't think so at least.

It'd be like the Cold War till the 1990s, 1995 to be exact, when Tiberium would show up and SU and Communist China would be in the stages of collapse from America and assorted countries, including their own, no longer in need of oil, thats when Nod would takeover both.

I'd probably go on your theory, but I don't think SU would change to Nod till 1995 when Tiberium would replace, or should if you can design it, oil as a major resource, since oil is made obsolete and the SU collapses.

lol dude
Nod "multinational-corporation" so no "market liberal" because market liberal is a definition in relations between independed economical units - state - independed units but how it looks in that one particular corporation? democracy? especially in Nod? bleh Nod used all resources available only for its own sole purpose
(if you want some resemblance see "Gasprom" its a gas corporation from Russia and it is using "market liberalism" against market liberalism because it is buying all european gas corporations and in truth we all know who really stands behind gasproms interests)

Nod->national socialist (so righteous so... oh god bless them ;] ) ministers->Stalinist (yeah especially Kane ;] "close second" to god but it is humans that he cares peace for everyone! ascension for everyone! but kill everyone on the way use tiberium based weapons if you desire)

SU is used by Nod to prepare it (if SU wins or after ra2)
SUs economy falls and so SU itself and i do not believe Nod to be interested in
economically depleted land before tiberium takes over Siberia

Nod token over Russia??? you are all the way wrong

Russia is to be third to count member of GDI

no need for oil? but need for tiberium!
http://pl.youtube.com/watch?v=u8wklEgMJ3o&mode=related&search=
Russia is the greatest country and by so contains great mass of tiberium fields
(not counting some fields in south eastern china...)

First that is Russia not Soviet union. We are talking about the Soviet union. And second 59% of Tiberium is in the hands of NOD. You ask why. Well Tiberium prefers hot areas of the world. The nations of G8 (GDI) control only 21 %. See under wikipedia under NOD. You will get the same info there.

that is even more exactly my point why Nod having such amount of tiberium matter itself with Russia? and why Russia should fall to crisis and hands of Nod when it has formidable tiberium amount? ;]

Well the brotherhood used russia to rise. That was the only reason. Tiberium was not yet discoverd (The meteroit has not yet falen in Italy which containd Tiberium. The substance was named by the river Tiber, which was the neares to its finding place).

I'm confused. Is this going to be a Red Alert Mod or the Tiberium wars? Or both? Personnally I would prefer red alert.

Moving on... I had some questions about the world if Hitler didn't exist. Would that mean Republican Spain would win? Would the Japanese become isolated before any attack on America was possible having no allies to feel safe in?

Benito Mussolini, according to history, actually was aligned with the Allies till they allowed the Germans to occupy the Rhineland without punishment, does that mean Mussolini will stay in power?

I'd really hope both Italy, which did very moderate action till it felt safe with Germany, and Japan will not become major players in world politics and take away from the Allied and Comintern experiances. Its just a concern I wanted to share.
