will paradox have any comercials for EU2? there was not much to EU and i almost missed the game therefore.

Yes a film would eb nice.... but we cant make it tomb raider style, there was no big breasted super heroes in this time. That is a thing we should add to the wish list

Not many places you could advertize a historical, non-tactical wargame where the benefit of people buying the game would actually exceed the benefit of paying for the ad. PC gamer? Gamespot? Yeah right.
Why don't Paradox just change the desing of the game? instead of that angel of the darkness you see on the presentation, they could maybe show the rape of a well breasted Europa-girl (very mithological) by the powers of the continent and maybe some rebel scums!

why don't change the game, why build infanteries when can build huge armies of nude supermodels I think would be able to annex without any problems
I would have missed this game if it hadn't been mentioned at the underdogs. I saw a review of it in PC Gamer UK but it gave it a verly low score (57% I think) so I would have not bought if it hadn't been for the underdogs.

57% for EU!!!!! The best historical strategy game ever developed (IMHO). OK there might be some whinges about the manual and it been a little unstable (without the patches) - but that's it! PC Gamer should be burnt down for been ignorant, moronic FPS addicts, heretics. Surely people with that little interest in serious PC gaming should by a playstation and keep their opinions about PC games to themselves.

You know, mate? there is something that make me sick of these commercial magazines. They just have taken the strategy concept and have corrupted it using it for every single game you have to use your brain apart of firing madly to anyone. So you have the word strategy to describe rol games, rts, board simulated games, I mean, even in Tomb Raider they claim you have to use your brain to win the game (the brain? bloody hell! who can actually use the brain with that Lara in front of you??!!)

They're catering to the lowest common denominator, which is proven to work if you want to increase sales. The less good taste and intelligence you require, the more successful you'll be.
But even the dreaded "Game Spot" didn't manage to give EU that low a score! Game Spot pretty much believe that Halflife is the best game that's ever been produced and that Age of Kings is the pinnacle of strategy gaming but even they recognized that EU had something about it (they weren't sure what but they still realized). So is PC Gamers staff made up of people too stupid for even Game Spot to employ. Now that is scary.

The March 2001 PC gamer gave the game 80% (Excellent)...
I think the game probably (and correctly) took some hits with them for the crappy manual and stability issues. Most likely they mostly ignored the game because it did not some from ( in their eyes) a major Publisher...but it was a generally positive review.

Couldn't agree more with you, alan. RTS has nothing to do with strategy. why, because you have to micromanage those 50 settlers to support your army?. bullshit! That's tactic in my town, but you know how it is. Strategy sound more commercial.
