It's usually a minor thing, but when you sucessfully complete a Crusade, anyone else lack severely of good candidates for counts ? (In my humble opinion, it's pretty bizarre that you have to pay people to invite them at your court to give them counties...)

I'm seriously tempted to change my succession law to be able to give counties to ladies, which are always abundant at my court.

Unless you're Basque (or playing with a mod) then you can never give counties to ladies, no matter how great they may be, since doing so requires absolute cognatic succession, which is again, only accessible to characters of the Basque (Navarese) culture.

But you do not have to invite them to court in order to land them. You can land any one in your realm. (use search realm option, I choise male not ruler my religion my culture, adult, not in prison. Sort then by type you want and give you titiles away. The only thin you ddo not have control then that you can not marry them. If you do not want to warry about inheritance choise not noble house or check for inheritance for each candidate,

Spam the "summon fourth a courtier from the void" button every time you get a new king. The cost is based off your income, and when you first inherit it's basically free.

If they already hold land, you can give them more (presumably you need Agnatic-Cognatic for this, but any Christian can get that).

This is right. There are always tons of people you can land. Some of them are often quite decent. They're just in other courts in your realm. Use the search option to find the one you want and grant him a county. I tend to search for high stewardship and the best dynasty name.

The only thing to notice is that most of the unrelated ones the AI created out of thin air to serve as their courtiers tend to get bad genetic traits these days. If you pick too many new counts with blue genetic traits, before long your entire realm will be filled with dwarfs, hunchbacks, and inbreds. Try to avoid landing too many of these people so they can pass those traits on to your entire kingdom.
