We have updated our Community Code of Conduct. Please read through the new rules for the forum that are an integral part of Paradox Interactive’s User Agreement.
If you have not seen it: in the Q&A with AngryJoe last year, Wester confirmed that Victoria 3 was not in development at that time, and that the project needed an "internal champion" to carry it.
So even if development has started (and it may well be that it has not), it will still be early in production, and probably be while before they say something. Especially since both Stellaris and HoI4 suffered from delays.

Isn't Paradox now following a policy of not announcing a project until it officially enters Alpha due to the whole issue with HOI4?
I wonder if one of the devs would just come in here and then go "something about V3"

Not sure if it's an official policy, but I seem to recall reading something like that, so I am not expecting anything Vicky 3 related until a good year and something has passed from HoI 4 launch (June next year at the earliest, maybe by next Gamescom with some luck)

Wrong thread, but go to the Decisions tab in the Politics window and look for the decisions to build the various canals. You have to be a Great Power, along with some other conditions listed here:
