So i thought they had said that'd fixed the issue with colour variations, but I can still see the high poly model doesn't translate the colours, (they don't show up like they look in the editor when you select them)
however they work perfectly on the LOD model.

I'm using EXACTLY the same texutes/mapping etc and this is the difference (if you can see the lod)

the lighter blue is what it should be
but when you zoom in to the high poly model, it darkens!

frustration. it means if the colours are in shadow they look near black :(

Am i doing something stupid though? (Always possible)

Sometimes if you don't include a normal in the lod but you do in the main model it can cause a darkening effect. Just an idea if you didn't include one.
Also sometimes I deal with a different brightness when it comes to the lod so I will adjust it accordingly.
