Liberia is the white bit (really light grey).

Hahaha, I forgot all about Liberia. I can only imagine what a game is like with them.

14:00 March 3, 1941: UK African Garrisions enter Liberia.
15:00 March 3, 1941: Liberia is annexed.

The dreaded Morphail strikes again!

Lovely map. I see the British empire is a lovely shade of pink, as it should be... I see many historical wargames (like World in Flames) trying to make the British some shade of navy blue, or even a yellowish colour (meant to be khaki, I guess?) when we all know that the British Empire was ALWAYS PINK!

Good stuff.

Yeah I kinda understand the traditional war game color codes. They all seem to be here. Russia red( gee I wonder why?), German grey(for uniforms) Britain pink(can't be the old red because of he Russians so they are now pink) America Blue( color of Uniforms in Revolution) Japanese Yellow( The Yellow peril!). Last one is slightly raceist. But I would like to see for once a Pink germany. Over the hill a company of dreaded Pink Panthers comes approaches!

Whoops, looks like Tannu Tuva is in slightly the wrong place there. It should be the Mongolian province just to the southeast.

If you recall, province names in HoI are based on city names. Tannu Tuva is the province of Kyzyl (spelling may be off in this post) its capital. So in that respect its in the right spot... (and the map won't be changing)

What is different is the shape of the province. The province shape is at about a 90 degree angle difference of what most maps show the shape of Tuva as. So while on the map the city of Kyzyl is correctly located; which in turn sets Tuva's province; the shape of the province doesn't follow the actual border of the country of Tannu Tuva.

I think that is where some of the confusion is coming from.

America Blue( color of Uniforms in Revolution)

Blue was the American army color up through the Civil War. They changed it (to green) after the Civil War so that southerners could join the army without wearing the color of the army that they had just fought against.

So I'd rather see Green I guess, but blue's nice too.

Actually, in a German atlas of 1939 and in a German dictionary of 1939 I own Germany is depicted pink on maps.... :D

I find these comments offensive. Why must the British be pink? Are you calling them sissies?

Oh, wait, that's right. I support free speech.

In that case, Pink Germany and the Pink Panthers? I love it.:D

Aha, I thought that was the case. I still think I'll be moving it, though, as it just doesn't look right where it is. Just have to rename the cities (in province.csv or its HoI equivalent), not a problem :) Thanks for the info, though.

;)

The people that had old atlases with UK in pink won the war during the beta discussion on this...
