I've seen so many liberals vs. conservatives arguments on various boards of the internet, and frankly, I cannot take it any more. Usually both sides are so stubborn that it becomes pointless for either side, so I see no point in turning this thread into one such discussion.

I'm about as anti-government affiliation as one can be, for the simple reason that beaurocrats bug me, but we'll leave that for an OT thread.
I just wanted to point out that rarely does every post in a thread remain on topic (actually, I give a conservative (
) estimate of 1/3 to 1/2 of posts in a big thread (50+ posts) being OT). That's just how things roll, and kicking the threads around to another forum is a good way to kill discussion (I know I never check threads again once they're moved... I'm lazy like that).
And then again, this conversation is also OT, so I'd better shove off before this thread disappears while I'm typing this reply.
