Fästning Finska?
Möbil?
etc

Okey I see now ;) yes Möbil is indeed very strange. And Fästning Finska could, or rather, should be changed to Finska Fästningen or Fästning Finland.
Furthermore, more colonies :D

For example: For the Caribbean (where saints and such seems to be the way to go):
SWE;Heliga Birgitta;Carribean
SWE;S:t Magnhild;Carribean
SWE;Heliga Elin;Carribean
SWE;S:t Brynolf;Carribean
SWE;S:t Nikolaus af Linköping;Carribean
SWE;Helige Arild;Carribean
SWE;S:t Anna af Novgorod;Carribean

All of these have saint status in Sweden and they have existed.
And for Africa, these are actual names of colonies that under some time were owned by Sweden (even if not all were founded by swedes)

SWE;Gemoree faktori;Africa
SWE;Accara faktori;Africa #these two were taken from the Netherlands
SWE;Fort Carolusborg;Africa #also Karlsborg or Cape Coast Castle, english probably
SWE;Fort William;Africa #also Annamabo taken from England probably
SWE;Fort Batenstein;Africa #also Batensteyn
SWE;Fort Christiansborg;Africa #also Frederiksborg
SWE;Fort Witsen;Africa #also Taccorari
SWE;Fort Apollonia;Africa

All these were part of Cabo Corso (Ghana and suroundings)

North America, actual names of forts and such founded or conquered by Sweden.

SWE;Torne;North America
SWE;Nya Vasa;North America
SWE;Nya Korsholm;North America
SWE;Mölndal;North America
SWE;Fort Nassau;North America #netherlandish
SWE;Fort Uppland;North America #Fort Mecoponacka
SWE;Fort Trinity-Trefaldighet;North America #netherlands Fort Casimir
SWE;Fort Nya Älfsborg;North America
SWE;Nya Göteborg;North America
SWE;Nya Stockholm;North America
SWE;Swedesboro;North America

EDIT: I have not written down the colony names that already exist for Sweden.

Perhaps an event could be written signifying that Sweden actually tried to initiate trade.

event = {
id = ????
random = no
country = SWE
name = "Swedish African Company"
desc = "The first swedish tradeexpedition to Africa was conducted already 1646 organized by Louis de Geer. Slaves were shipped from the African main land to the portuguese on São Tomé. Other goods were brought to Europe. At the arrival in Stockholm 1647, sugar, gold and ivory were brough back, including 4 black slaves that were handed over to the riks - chancellor Axel Oxenstierna."
style = 3
date = { day = 1 month = january year = 1646 }
offset = 30
deathdate = { day = 1 month = january year = 1651 }

action_a ={
name = "Establish it!"
command = { type = treasury value = -500 }
command = { type = explorer which = ? }
}
}

The standard Explorers live too long. 10 years. In the hands of a player they will discover all of coastal North and South America (or much of it).

Interregnum already has explorer events, and I think Sweden gets them too (although I might never have made the events, as Sweden doesn't form very often ...)

Does Swedish, like English, take most of its middle ages military terms directly from French?

Sweden during this time was heavily influenced by germany and the Hansa, most historians even believe that the reason behind the reformation in Sweden was so that Gustav Vasa could confiscate the churches property to pay off his german mercenaries and money lenders. Which most of them of course had connections to the Hansa.

So no, more german than anything else.

Toio, Fäste is kinda a synonym but more refering to castle.

Just because I can, I'll list some mayan place names and words if you want to work on place names or whatever.

The word for new is Tumben. Old is Uchben. Place is Kahal. Pyramid is Muul. Nohoch is big/large.

For the capital of Mayapan at the start of the game, change that to Màayapáan. Spanish orthography is not quite so important in game, I think.

Now, as for some random place names:
Oxwitik (old name of Copan, capital of the ancient kingdom named Xukpi which means corner-bundle)
Xcaret is Small Inlet.
A place of economic relevance would be called P'ole' which comes from the word for merchandise (p'ol).
Xel-Há' combines the roots for spring and water in that order.
Tulu'um is fence, wall, or trench.
The island of Haiti would likely be called Kiskeya.
