Hi, i want to play a country that have some potential on lands and still have some potential in colonizing. I was thinking about Denmark. But... does this country have scripted explorer ? Since it will be a MP game, i don't want to rely solely on random explorer.

Also, i don't want to play France or Spain.

thanks a lot!

Portugal, Spain, England, France, Denmark, Netherlands, Russia and China are the nations that get historic explorers.

Denmark is the one that you probably want. Check Flame of Udun's strategy guide to see how to play Denmark. As long as nobody is playing Sweden it should be a piece of cake.

Portugal or the Netherlands if you want to explore / colonize with the emphasis on wealth from trade.
England if you want a ton of explorers, and the manpower to conquer Pagans or steal colonies from France & Spain.

But they have explores and conquistadors earlier than others. When Spain start to explore you can rule all South America and Africa.

The TOT only works against other Catholic countries. If you go Protestant, you're safe. Also if you concentrate on eastern North America, where most of the provinces don't have TOT shields on them. (Only the areas within 2 provinces of the Gulf Coast do, until you get out west to Texas.)
