(Ubisoft 1.05) Something odd happens if a province you're building a colony or trading post in is conquered by an enemy during build. The "building" graphic disappears and, if there's a trading post there already, the enemy is able to burn it as usual.
However the AI appears to continue with the building process which generates a succeed or fail report after the building time has elapsed.
Furthermore because the province appears uncolonized on the screen, if you're quick it's possible to click on build yourself and have two trading posts being built at the same time. In my case the first "unstopped" one ran "hidden" to completion and generated a successful report. When the second "visible" one finished, I got the "sorry when we arrived it was already colonized" message - even though it was me that had colonised it.
The bug, I think, is that the build in progress when the colony is conquered should be terminated at that point.
