So far, when spawning colonial nations as Ming, the first 3 ideas are always Expansion, Plutocratic, and Economic, no matter what the mother country has.
This is obscenely stupid since the initial culture and values of a colonial nation will most certainly exactly match the mother country. They can diverge after it becomes a colonial nation, but the initial developments should be the same. For example, if I have Exploration, Expansion, and Humanism (Ming) / Quantity (everyone else, for that extra colonist with the policy), the colonial nation should be founded with Exploration, Expansion, and whatever I had for the third slot. If it was founded hwen I had more than 3 ideas, then it should match mine exactly as of the founding time.
The existing system is as if sending people from a population of people who like noodles to a different continent suddenly makes them all like eating tofu.
Please give us the ability to, if not customize our colonial nations' ideas upon their founding (in addition to a name, the initial colonial governors from the mother country surely affect the cultural development path, no?), at least have them imprint off us. I'd think this should be a big part of the Common Sense expansion....
