So, I started a game as England that I wanted to play normally, but then I got it in my head to play as the Thirteen Colonies. Everything was going well and I got them to pop up (my first was Newfoundland) and jacked up tariffs. Now, when it emerged I did not get the option to play as it and the tooltip told me that releasing it would let me play as it, if I wanted. So, I released it and nothing happened. I thought that was odd, so I loaded up my save and I can't even select it from the save file map. I'm thoroughly confused as to how I get around to playing a colonial nation now. Any thoughts?
