"type = local_setflag which = slowdown_on" is flag that I set only for players.
If this flag is "off" and player takes country it trigger event to extend production time of IC/infra (and change flag to "on").
This way slowdown event fill fire only once for player only.
If player will start game as one country and then reload to another then event will trigger for new country also.
This way I want to prevent situation when country having 10-15 IC in 1945, is having 200+ IC in 1980.

Ok understand the idea but how about the rest of the AI controlled nations? Are they effected in any way? Otherwise you might see Sri Lanka being an industrial power house by 1982 :)

Thinking of creating a global even for all nations (except NK & ISR) for a post war peacetime_IC mod to fire. It should re-fire every few years to make sure that small/major wars come & go but permanent consumerism take over the globe ..

Getting modern air combat tech requires you to master all the world war 2 air doctrines yes.

Otherwise coding is going quick now. About 60% done with naval doctrines, just submarine techs left & brigades. Expect release in about a week+. :D

Research Limited?

Hi all - I've installed the new AoD 1.07 version and the newest CWE version, and have played a few games. I like what I see so far! Thanks nomonhan, great work!
However, I'm tired of having only six research slots when I have several hundred IC. I understand only six starting out with under a hundred, but late in the game it's reasonable to want more.
What was the reason for limiting them?

How can I get more research slots?
What file do I modify? I added more slots in the save game but that didn't work.

There is no need. AI is not building IC due to AI settings. So we can't see AI governed nations to build immense IC.

I was wondering if, for the next version, we could have a 1953 scenario? To cover destalinization and the like.

P.S.-It would be nice if Nomon reappeared. Sudden long term disappearances are not good for a mod's health. :p

Id love to have a 1980esque scenario & or even porting MDSs 2003 could be conceivable but help would be needed. For now in my spare time ill focus on a 1919/1920 working alpha.

I know sucks. All I know is ISP issues cropped up for him & hasnt been seen since. Hes a terrific coder/project leader so ill deff keep the flame burning until his reappearance. I have no problem with that :) Feel free to PM him or his email address can be found in the txt files in the CWE folder.

Likely actually a AoD-DH map version if anything. DH itself lacks the additional brigades & supply system AoD uses. Much harder to mod later XX/XXI century without those :O If that changes than who knows..

new release for 1.07? or CWE runs with the last patch
Check back a few pages back for the misc.txt file. Than current .18CWE runs with 1.06/1.07 no problem.

how do i install with steam version?
Wish I knew. :) Anyone have pointers etc on this?

0.18.5 version is almost done, just finishing up the detailed work. Personal life & commitments have had me slow down development but im almost there. ;) Check back in a few days or so np

No worries, for now just be patient - im looking at ~170 new techs here to balance + naval brigades & misc work. Its a fair amount of coding to work with

Small update: about 90% done. Few more days of coding, but very busy week ahead so bear with me ;)

First off want to say that I've been playing this mod for a few months now and think its great. I've always enjoyed modern day mods linked to the HOI series. Hope the devs continue your great work on this and don't give up.

Now to why I'm here. I've had a campaign going now for a few months (unfortunatley I can only play a couple hours a night if lucky) and I am now at july 2, 1954 and am trying to launch a Log Strike against a specific province of which I was able to do while fighting WWII. This being my first conflict post WWII. However when trying to do this I'm unable to do it. No Log Strike, Strat Bomb, or Ind. Bomb. I can however target a specific province if I'm doing Indertiction, or Ground attack.

I'm really just trying to figure out what's going on. Something I'm doing wrong, maybe a new doctrine that's causing it that I didn't know about, I don't know. Any help, ideas, suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

And once again, kudos to the devs on their work on this mod.

I started to compare the files against the new AoD V1.07 file structure and noticed that there is one "#EOF;;;;;;;;;;;x" line in the middle of the config\boostertext.csv file. Is this intentional or a typo?

Good point! But no idea as to how that effects the game.. :confused: Nomonhan's coding remains his secrets. I miss him... :p
