Soo, crazy thought, now that some of us have figured out how to get AoD running with the DH map, is there any chance of putting out a version of Coldwar extension for AoD with the DH map?
We would have to make a scenario file, ai files, and updating the events for it, which needless to say will take quite abit of time.

Maybe it would be possible to include it the same way you are including your ww1 scenario (which btw, will be a ton better on this map!!!!)
I would be willing to help make it possible, and pretty sure I could gather up a few others to help migrate somethings over.

It would be simply put, as good as HoI will ever get if thats the case :D

As far as making sure were not distributing someone else's work, if we make a installer, just have it check for a DH folder (that one had purchased and supported the makers of the map in the first place) to copy files from there, and that problem should be done.

That indeed is beginning to sound tempting ;) The E3 map is coming along & the guys over at the DH-AOD map conversion thread are working on an Alpha release already! I cant see why, if this work continues at its pace we wont see CWE AOD running on a DH/E3 map this year. If sufficient help is mustered by u guys, possibly even sooner!

Were finishing up work on 0.19 CWE release, but if nomonhan agrees work on this could start within a version or two.

If you list out all the things that need to get done for the map change to happen I'm sure you'll get a few volunteers to split up the tedious text edits (myself included).

Posting it here anyways as I promised it by Sunday. Turkey(Ottomans), Japan, German Empire, Austro-Hungary & France are 100% done. As mentioned above, simply copy & paste over their current OOB list. I will finish up UK & USA in next 48 hrs prob.

Notes:
1. For Ger, AH & France the Corps locations & divisional lists are more random than historical. Divisional names & numbers are however as good as gold :) Corps swapped their numerous divisions throughout late 1918 period, & trying to organize that would simply be suicidal.
1.1 German empire deployed for now along their historical 1936 border. Feel free to adjust their starting positions depending on how much land GER receives. Can be left alone for now np anyhow.
1.2 Austro-Hungarian empire as well. AH Corps are relatively within austrian/hungarian/czechoslovakian/serbian borders for now. Feel free to move them around to adjust their position relative to actual borders.
2. Ottoman Empire(TUR) & Japan are quite close to historical parity. Their smaller armies make them easier to organize & find data on.
2.1. Ottoman Empire(TUR) has units southern units deployed along Lebanon, Syria & central Iraq. Wasnt sure what they kept in Cold War 1919 scenario in terms of Palestine or Jordan.
3. Italy & Sov Union not done as Nomonhan mentioned finishing Italy himself. Sov Union needs to be completed alongside White russia & @ current release I dont have enough information on province control & what event are used. Nevertheless earlier TOE had their divisional lists. Hopefully nomonhan can complete himself. Shouldn't be too difficult.
4. All units currently set @ 100% organization unless specifically mentioned. For realism in the 1919 scenario they should have their starting strength lowered to between 70-90% on average. Except non-combatant nations & USA.
6. Realistic wise, all airbases should have their strength lowered to 1-2 from any larger amount. This to realistically simulate the begging or airpower creation (there were next to no aerodromes). Same with AA guns & French, Italian fortifications.
7. Smaller nations can be for now moded with simple deletion of airunits & downgrading any naval/land units to starting model 0 for now. Ill focus on writing up smaller 1919 national TOEs aft finishing UK & USA.

Generic illustration graphics for 1960+. Kept them in color as I gather that cold war should be less monochrome than the earlier part of XX century. Military fans will also notice on the bottom of graphics that light tank divisions are making an appearance ;) After generics, just like model pics - I will break them down first by east/west, & later country specific.

Illustrations Pt2, Ground + Airforces

#Where possible, especially in regards to interceptors and multi-role fighters, images of western and eastern most utilized fighters are displayed together. Many non-aligned countries (Pakistan/India/Iraq/Egypt/Lybia etc etc) purchased WP & NATO jet aircraft to please both sides. Also covers graphically whichever side smaller nations choose to side with as well :)

AI changes - I am unsure of; nomonhan needs to be consulted. Infrastructure/IC likely little if any, however there are over a 1000 events regarding new resource (coal/naturalgas/oil/metals) That need to be adjusted. So I gather that simply events/events_vl folders & everything contained within. Nomonhan will give more instructions although waiting for a clean 0.19 CWE might help out with confusion & doubling the workload?

Launching jets from underwater doesn't seem all to feasible. ;)
Actually you'd be surprised. Heavy submarine design suffered in the 1930s due to Washington & London naval treaties, however most major powers toyed with the idea of a gun cruiser or small carrier submarine designs. With the advent of the jet age, numerous ideas were tested out, form Jet flying boat fighters/bombers to VTOL desings etc. 50s were a crazy time from the engineering perspective. In the middle of it all were ideas for either amphibious assault submarines or jet equipped submersible aircraft carriers?!

11000% Concentration Affect Blowing up IC

Hi,

Great Mod and thanks for all the hard work. I am greatly looking forward to 0.19.

I do want to report a possible bug. I am on 1.07 and I think that broke my current game. Every nation's IC has blown up to 10000+ IC, mainly due to something called "concentration effect" which I have never seen before. Is this something that is due to incompatibility between 1.07 and CWE? Has anyone else seen this? Its totally ruining my game.
