well, I know what Arakan is, I only meant that you surely wasn`t talking about coin 9 but 13 instead ;) Seeing a persian siglos for Arakan I can imagine, but calling a German mark a coin from Arakan would be slightly dumb don`t you think? ;)

Damn, it only now (after some 6 months) occured to me that you possibly wasn't spamming but meant the Indian Gupta Empire (2th-5th century or such) :D. As I recently started to interest myself much more for Asian coins it will be indeed time to explore that area. Though iirc there are not many Indian coins to be found between Alexander the Great and ~9th century from India.

WHich also reminds me that I actually recently identified coin 8 from my quiz as a something from the Chola Empire (in south-India) from 10th or 11th century. Of course I seemingly also already removed the picture so that isn't of much help atm I guess ;)
Though here is an online version of that type of the coin for the interested .

EDIT: ah, and this is thus a coin from the Gupta Empire:

Samudragupta, ~335-380. Gold, and probably very unaffordable for me :D

EDIT2: Yeah, checked on ebay, one coin available atm, bids from $425,-...
