The Canadian one would the be Red Ensign, IIRC. And we don't know that the French flag evolves. Only that its different in two different scenarios.

McGuinn's coats of arms are utterly cool, but they are too messy and unrecognizable when reduced to the tiny sizes EU1 uses. I think that coats of arms should be the more realistic possible, but staying simple for easier "readability".
Well, some of EU1 advertisements brag that game has "historical coats of arms..." I must say that most of those historical coats of arms have little relation to history. And to art too, they are UGLY. No offense, game is great, but coats of arms SUCK.
Just my two cents, but if we tried to include every flag of the game, wouldn't it really confuse people?
I mean what if some of the French Canadians got mad that they didn't get a special flag for themselves? Because I know that French Canada has a special flag. But if you had a French Canadian flag, how are you supposed to tell that they are French? Does that mean the British Canadian flag is supposed to be that of the Hudson's Bay Company?
My point is just that having so many flags might just get confusing and out of hand.
