Luckily Johan said in the interview that good, succesful systems from the other games would be taken into account and built upon.

And their are good, successful systems from every game.

For armies you can in CK keep track of their tech level by their province of origin, even if they're mergified. I think could work with coallition armies of courties with different tech levels.
