Cloud saves not syncing

My desktop syncs the saves from my laptop, but my laptop not the ones from my desktop. My desktop just broke and I can't get the saves manually, I would like to continue my desktop saves tho. How could I get the laptop to download the cloud saves?

Do you mean you cannot access the saves you've made with your desktop on your laptop?

Yes, those saves are not showing up under the cloud saves when using my laptop.

I have no explanation why they can be seen in one direction but not the other. This is using the same Steam ID at both ends? Steam is in online mode? A firewall or AV app getting in the way maybe?

It's both the same steam account, I turned windows firewall off, and steam is in online mode.

I am having issues with sync as well.

2 different computers A and B. Everything saved in the cloud for Comp A syncs and appears for loading in Comp B. However, save anything on Comp B and it will only ever be seen on Comp B, and will never appear on Comp A. Initially this worked w/o issue, but started not working this weekend. I actually have an Ironman save for the same game at two different dates, one one Comp A and one on Comp B.

BTW, same steam ID, and I ruled out any firewall or AV app issues by disabling/uninstalling

Yes, Steam does sync every time I close the game, on both computers.

FYI, I have now completely uninstalled Steam and EU4 on both computers, still have the issue. Would be a lot easier to understand if neither of them synced with each other, but to only really work one way is so weird.

Same here, if I make a new save it will sync the cloud when I exit the game, but it still refuses to download any of my desktop saves.

After you close the game, does Steam attempt to sync with server?

Yes it does and it says it works. And on teh Windows 7 box if i load game then close it says it syncs too. But I never see the game move from one to the ohter.

I presume when he says steam.com he means steampowered.com
