clicking on mercenaries causes ctd

Hi,
All of a sudden...literally overnight...everything is going along fine ok, maybe not fine but a few little quirks... however when I go to the mercenaries tab to see what's going on.....ctd....don't understand it as everything worked fine yesterday...
I'm on Steam (hate hate hate) and over the last week or so several other little things have been happening, all of a sudden I have the ironman button and a set of dice next to the play button...haven't bought SoA or got the new patch yet......I landed my eldest son last night and today, he was unlanded... I have held the county of Amiens for about 10 years....since yesterday everytime I start up after about a week, Amiens reverts back to its old owner and is out of my duchy! No explanation, it just is....was thinking of just doing a consol give title to see if that would bring it back, but the mercenary thing is now more pressing.....

How can you be on Steam and yet not have the new patch?

I don't know....I thought I had to download the new patch from here...... So....do I have the new patch then?

Yes you have the new patch.. you just don't have access to all the dlc.

I have the same situation and same problem. I have all the major dlc minus republic and sons of abraham.. clicking the mercenaries tab causes CTD

Yep...I have all of the DLCs and everything else....all but SoA.....

Please try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local files" in Steam
- manually delete all files left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a verify when done.

the game was running quite choppy after the patch as well.. this issue was also cleared up. Thank you!!
