Just thought I would post this, as the AI has come in for a lot of critiscm lately.
I'm playing as the UK, it's late 1940 and Germany is doing it's usual steam rolling. However, I am trying to be a thorn in its side. I am playing very defensively at the moment as I am low on a lot of equipment. So I'm trying to slow Germany down. I've had 9 divisions in Norway,, fully dug in and sticking it out. Norway was a good 30% from capitulation so I was fairly happy. They couldn't break through. The first point of interest was when Germany AND Italy invaded Norway, via two ports at once. I hadn't expected it, so I was caught out. But the second point of interest, which is extremely clever, and effective killed me. Germany used its spies to form a collaboration government. I didn't expect it at all! It gave Germany the extra 30% towards capitulation they needed! I was startled to say the least when my position went from comfortable to under pressure. I went to evacuate my little force immediately and then Germany and Italy attacked together. I was caught yet again! Norway capitulated a few days later.
